Ron Chmielewski, founder and owner of the Planwright, loves a well-designed structure. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Tusculum College 1971) and Master of Business Administration (Indiana State University 1973) degrees, he began his career working for large construction and engineering firms in the Philadelphia area. Then, in the late 1970's, he decided a change was needed, so he packed up his family and moved to Florida. Here, he began a career with electronics and information giant Harris Corporation. Florida was great, but he missed the business of construction and design, so after several years in the Florida sun, he made the move to the residential design service.
The Planwright creates all drafting in Autocad design software. After many years of working on "the board", the tried and true traditional drafting table used for centuries, we decided it was time to convert to Computer Aided Design Drafting. After a considerable amount of research into various CADD software, it was determined that Autocad, released by Autodesk, was the best software to make the switch. Autocad, although having an extremely long learning curve, offered the most in flexibility and is the industry standard. Therefore, it is easy to universally exchange plans with engineers, surveyors and materials suppliers

Since becoming a full-time residential designer over 25 years ago, Ron has built an enormous inventory of quality home designs. His designed houses can be mostly seen in the Brevard County, Florida area, but many have also found their way to other southeastern cities as well as other parts of the U.S.
